The Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that the organization adheres to all relevant safety regulations and permit requirements. This role involves managing the permit application and renewal process, maintaining safety compliance across all operations, and addressing any issues related to regulatory standards. The Compliance Officer plays a critical role in mitigating risks and ensuring the organization's operations are legally compliant.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the application, renewal, and management of all necessary permits and licenses required for the organization's operations. Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards. Prepare and submit required documentation and reports related to safety compliance and permit status. Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and ensure timely responses to inquiries and inspections. Train employees on safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and best practices for maintaining compliance. Investigate and document safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences. Stay up-to-date with changes in safety regulations and industry standards, and update company policies and procedures accordingly. Provide support during safety and regulatory inspections, and address any non-compliance issues identified. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related field. Proven experience in a compliance, safety, or regulatory role, with a strong understanding of safety regulations and permit processes. Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple permit applications and renewals. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders. Ability to conduct thorough safety inspections and audits with keen attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills to address safety and compliance issues effectively. Experience in developing and delivering safety training programs for employees. Proficiency in using compliance management software and other relevant tools. Certifications related to safety compliance/ Safety Officer is a plus. Job Type: Full-time
