Position Overview:
The Compliance Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing compliance programs and policies to ensure that our operations adhere to Philippine laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Philippine regulatory requirements, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate compliance matters across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance: Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs and policies to ensure adherence to Philippine government regulations and industry standards.
Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor regulatory changes and ensure that the company remains compliant with new and existing laws. Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
Audits & Assessments: Conduct regular audits and assessments of company practices and procedures to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
Risk Management: Identify and assess compliance risks and vulnerabilities within the organization. Develop strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure ongoing compliance.
Documentation & Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of compliance activities, including policies, procedures, and audit results.
Investigation & Resolution: Investigate compliance issues and incidents, working with relevant departments to resolve issues and implement corrective measures.
Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors. Maintain positive relationships and facilitate communication with regulatory bodies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) preferred.
Proven experience (2-3+ in a compliance role, with a strong understanding of Philippine government regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent knowledge of regulatory frameworks relevant to the industry.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into actionable policies.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance management software.
Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
