Job Description The Channel Development Specialist is responsible for the delivery of sales results of the assigned territory for the Pet Food of Pilmico Animal Nutrition Corporation through active selling and promotional activities,  building and establishing strong relationships with current and potential customers. 

Qualifications Education: Graduate of any of the following – Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and BS Agriculture major in  Animal Science.
Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in sales.
License/s:  Veterinarian (an advantage)
Other Requirements: Critical Skills Or Competencies Required:
Excellent understanding of dog, cat, and product knowledge.
Must have strong customer service skills. 
Effective communication and presentation skills.
Must have the ability to work independently with little supervision. 
Driving skills.
Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Proficiency in the use of productivity tools.
Must have good negotiation skills.
Willing to be based in South Luzon.
Additional Information Business Development Deliver the monthly, quarter, and annual business objectives (MT, IOICF, Metric Ton/TM  CSAT Rating, Forecast Accuracy ) for the assigned territory and channel.
Introduces, demonstrates, and promotes all Pet Food product portfolio to the company's existing and potential customers in assigned territory. 
Take sales orders from customers and liaise with customer service for the fulfillment of sales orders. 
Act as the principal ambassador of the company and source of product, dog, and cat knowledge for the customer. 
Coordinate and ensure delivery of products and services to the customers at a high and competitive level. 
Grow the customer base through constant recruitment of new customers. 
Encourage vertical growth/SKU penetration from existing customers.  
Implement the sales promotional and marketing plans within the assigned territory.
Ensure that each customer is visited regularly and prepare and submit to the line manager a master call plan for each period. 
Identify opportunities, problems, and issues within the sales territory and take or ask  Team Leader approval for corrective actions promptly.
Implements and or monitors Category-initiated programs and activities targeted for region or area. 
Coordinate with the Pet Food Category Manager, Product Innovation Team, and Brand and  Marketing Team in data gathering for business planning and determining market intelligence. 
Lead forecasting and demand planning for their channels.
Assist in building channel growth strategies along with category team (availability,  display, activations).
Visibility 
Ensure in-store/in-clinic display objectives and standards are achieved and implemented. Initiate merchandising projects with customers.  
Coordinate with TPA regarding deployment schedules, and delivery of committed POSM  tools.
Submit post-activity or deployment reports as needed.
Sales And Customer Management  Regular submission of accurate sales reports (distributor-serviced areas).
Conduct periodic reviews with customers to analyze their past sales and set up action plans to ensure profitability. 
Manages sales requirements of Pet Food customers in terms of customer setup, price setup, order fulfillment, distributorship/dealership agreement, logistics arrangements, and product specification. 
Visits and assists the customer on how to maximize the use of the product by educating them and providing technical services and expertise related to Pet Food and Care. · Collect all accounts receivable due before the closing date of each period. 
Training/Market Intelligence  Organize regular training activities for customers.
Conducts orientation and training programs related to pet care, nutrition, and product knowledge to internal and external stakeholders. 
Gathers and documents relevant Pet Food information, data, figures, and industry updates/developments, not limited to homing pigeon management. 
Other Responsibilities Participates in all Company initiatives and programs as well as provides support whenever necessary.
Ensures compliance with food safety, good housekeeping, and quality management system based on the standards of 5S, GMP, HACCP, and ISO.
Participates in projects and improvements on sales and marketing process as may be assigned. 
Performs other work-related tasks as may be assigned from time to time.
