Job Description: We're looking for a Business Process Senior Associate to join our New Business, Underwriting, and Claims team at MBPS. In this role, you are responsible for the planning, administering, executing and communicating information in a non-voice environment to support insurance policy services, claims processing and underwriting in an insurance outsourcing domain. Have the skills and knowledge for the job? Learn more about the opening below! Key Responsibilities: Support onboarding/ underwriting of new cases and set-up and compensation of financial advisors.
Examines all documents received in a new case submission while enforcing the John Hancock Retirement Plan Services Guidelines to ensure all required forms are received and completed in compliance with federal and state legislation.
Assesses the pricing the client has agreed to based on the expected versus the actual plan specifications. Determines whether new documentation is required by the client due to pricing changes.
Identifies compliance issues and recommends options for resolution and/or escalates when necessary to management or other members of the customer base.
Builds and maintains solid relationships with all members of the customer base by responding effectively to questions from internal and external parties. Alerts issues and problems, keeping all informed and up-to-date on progress of new case submission, following up on outstanding items, discrepancies and significant issues while maintaining multiple communication tools.
Issues the client contract in accordance with the plan specifications and federal and state legislation while identifying contracts that may require amendment packages due to legislative changes or product enhancements.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree holders are welcome to apply.
At least two (2) years of relevant back-office experience.
Amenability and readiness to work onsite and from home anytime (dependent on business need AND/OR current external environment/situation).
Minimum Skills to Hire/Must Haves: Experience in medical adjudication, claims processing, data entry, and back-office support.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
