Aircon Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:
A detail-oriented Air-Con Technician helps us install, maintain and repair heating/cooling systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in cleaning air quality equipment and performing maintenance procedures as well as providing emergency repairs when necessary.

Ultimately Air-Con Technician responsibilities include performing maintenance and installations as needed.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for carry out preventative maintenance and repair faulty air conditioning
2. Ensure the timely tuning on/off of the air conditioning systems
3. On a daily basis closely monitor the cooling levels in each air-conditioned room to ensure that cooling levels are adequate to avoid negative impact to production and offices.
4. Troubleshoot air conditioning equipment malfunctions, diagnose problems and perform maintenance on equipment. Make recommendations to replace equipment, if expected cost to repair exceeds possible replacement cost.
5. Perform regular cleaning of all air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, inclusive of vents if available.
6. Responsible for the verification air conditioning spares purchased/supplied and ensure that they are securely stored on the company's premises.
7. Create and maintain an ongoing inventory showing the number of air conditioning units and their location.
8. Collect data for reports.
9. Keep workplace clean and safe
10. Perform any other duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Male
2. High school/vocational school diploma or technical training in HVAC systems
3. Proven experience as an Air-Con Technician is an advantage
4. Strong knowledge of the methods, practices, test instruments, tools, and materials typically applied in repairing and servicing air conditioning systems, and other similar equipment
5. Strong knowledge of the hazards involved in the occupation, and the safety precautions to take
